Olawafemi (Femi) and Juliet Olawale
I first met Femi and Juliet in 2012 when they asked me to teach in the School of Worship they were leading at YWAM Port Harcourt, Nigeria. I saw then that they were a very sincere and motivated couple and very good musicians, as well. We talked right away about their interest in attending and launching our University of the Nations music schools in Nigeria. After they spent a year developing their leadership skills further at YWAM San Diego/Baja, they were ready to go home to Nigeria to pioneer a YWAM base in Uyo. Their vision is to focus on worship, music and mercy ministries by building homes for the poor. Juliet came to Santa Fe to attend a Music Ministry Development Seminar (MMDS) in 2015. We were not able to secure a US visa for Femi at that time for him to come. I taught in their first Worship Discipleship Training School in Uyo in 2016. It was a very interesting school as the students were all Femi’s converts from the streets, ages 10 to 40. (Right) They are now planning to hold an MMDS in July of 2017. They will visit the US in April to share about their ministry.
